Alan and Max were chatting at the table next to me. I was more interested in their stories than in my own work. I asked them to write a poem and they both agreed. That is rare. Usually only one will say yes. It is so much fun to see two minds at work. The contrast between the inner and outer workings is fascinating. Alan is a playwright.
