She sat next to me at Shakespeare & Co bookstore on Lexington Avenue. I lost her name, but I remember the beauty and clarity of her and her poem.

       All the times you spend
       reading
       listening
       longing
There is a wooden floor
              beneath the shelves
       coffee tables, books
young folks all chattering
       can be alone
       can like it.
