heavy signs_-_-

High Street Station, A train, April 29th, 2014
A cold rainy day. Not a typical sight. These two women were part of a chain directing party-goers to a corporate shindig at the Brooklyn Navy Yards. They had expected hundreds by this time but only a handful had shown up. Good time for a poem. When not loaded down with a sign, she is a Teaching Assistant in Special Education.

Awkward grin.
heavy signs
cold winds
This is not Spring!
Where’s the flowers
and sun that
lead up to summer
fun??
tans, beach and
sand on my
feet is where
I’d rather be!
