we came a long way_----

Dante Park, November 3rd, 2014
First husband / wife poems from a couple married for 53 years. And now this, in his retirement: wispy red men made out of sticks, placed in unique spots throughout the world. Donald seems really happy making and sharing this work. I felt lucky to come upon them in Dante Park, on my way to Rayburn Music, which ended up being closed. It’s the Theory of the Derive in play: if you break your daily routine, you’ll end up finding a tiny red man on a giant concrete police barrier. I visited the Oracle at Delphi too, but I did not receive as clear instructions. I am still trying to figure out what it told me.

We came a long way
