I didn’t even think to ask for a poem at first. I asked if I could photograph them and their unconscious inversion. Then I asked for poems (sounds greedy but the timing felt right). I was sure they were sisters, but they are good friends. Kathryn is a sex therapist. Patricia runs a domestic violence and sexual assault agency. They were lovely people.
